Germany and France April 2026

This motorhome trek began by crossing Germany to the Bavarian town of Cham for an American Square Dance event, 7 days of intensive dance, our second visit to this Bavarian town. This was followed by the return journey through the Alsace to buy wine, then back to Calais travelling through Belgium, Luxembourg and France. 2,000 miles through the UK, France, Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg at the time a very high diesel prices, well over €2 a litre and sometimes €2.50 per litre. Fuel average consumption for the journey 31.0 miles per UK Imperial gallon (9.11 litres per 100 km).
