at Camping Rio Vero

No travel today, we stayed around the campsite here at Camping Rio Vero and enjoyed a restful day.

We sleep deeply and catch up on our sleep-depravation. Another baking hot day of 33°C, but we take advantage of hot running water and showers, lots of shade with a fast running river nearby.

There are lots of nationalities here (Spanish, French, German, Netherlands and 3 lots of Brits) perhaps here for the walking, climbing and river rafting, as the Vero runs through a very long and steep gorge. We rest and write, Mr C. paints. There are Griffin vultures, honey buzzard, possibly eagles and red kites all gliding in huge circles on the thermal currents for most of the day, we are not short of anything to do. Another early night and we begin to feel back to normal!
