at Camping Rio Vero

Another day at Camping Rio Vero, walking around the nearby countryside, a hot and exhausting day.

It is cool when we wake, 16°C in the camper. We take advantage of the cool morning, get up and set off fairly early to walk along the river and across to the next village of Buera. It is not light until about 8.00am but as soon as the sun is up it begins to get very hot very quickly. At Buera we wander around the old village with its large natural spring flowing into a central well in the middle of the village.

There are pomegranate trees, figs, olives and vines. Mr C. buys a baguette from the local bread man in a van and we walk back to Rio Vero arriving just after midday, it is hot but perhaps not as hot as yesterday. Another very quiet afternoon as we write our journals and plan the rest of our time, only another week left to travel.
