January 2022, too cold to go out in the Hymer at this time of year. We are working on the website adding new pages to describe our trips, it takes longer than you think. This website uses WordPress, I made the shift over from Joomla in December 2021. I used to build and maintain websites professionally, for that I used Joomla. I evaluated WordPress against Joomla, Drupal and a number of other content management systems. At the time Joomla was way ahead in every way, WordPress was a great blogging tool, but could not handle pages very well.

As time has gone by WordPress has moved on, while Joomla has not moved as quickly. It was a very difficult decision to change, but as I add new pages I am starting to see major benefits, especially in the way that WordPress responds to mobile devices.
