Our homepage has been updated so that it now shows maps of our motorhome treks, this is a big improvement because it lets you select what you want to see directly from a map. The problems with google Timeline continue, as far as we can see google Timeline is no longer any use to us.
Another large trek through France and Spain in September 2024 now completed and available. I’ve moved away from Google maps and am now using OpenStreetMap for the actual maps and a mapping tool that helps to generate the individual points and maps that you see on the pages. Overall I think the process is working
Another memorable motorhome tour through the northern part of France; our intention was to cross to France via Le Shuttle then make a fast journey to the Languedoc area to view Roman sites in France, then wine tasting and purchase of red wines, over the border into Spain with a call in Andorra, heading back
A bigger job than I expected; documenting a 28-day motorhome journey from Lancaster to Frankenberg in Germany, returning via France, touring Normandy and Brittany. Adding pages to our trek of July and August 2019 to Frankenberg in Germany and Normandie, about half way through the pages now, it takes a surprisingly long time to add each page with a photo album and then the appropriate links for navigating from one page to the next.
The process of moving over from Joomla to WordPress is going ahead well. Overall it’s taking more time than I expected, but that’s mainly due to not knowing how to do things. The text editing facilities are very good in WordPress, especially when you paste text that was formatted elsewhere, WP strips out all the
