The process of moving over from Joomla to WordPress is going ahead well. Overall it’s taking more time than I expected, but that’s mainly due to not knowing how to do things. The text editing facilities are very good in WordPress, especially when you paste text that was formatted elsewhere, WP strips out all the unnecessary garbage that word processors leave in.

The image galleries are generally easy to put in place and work well. 

There are about 60 more pages to bring over, then the old site can be turned off, at the current rate that will take 3 to 4 weeks to finish.
