Hull to home in Lancaster

From Hull we have a relatively short drive home, arriving in time for lunch. Usual procedure, empty the Hymer of everything, them start with the washing etc.

After a month away and a lot of hot weather we are not surprised to find the plants in our garden have grown. Unfortunately there are casualties, my wisteria in a 12 inch pot looks completely dead, all its leaves brown and crisp, and two peonies also in large pots are similarly brown. The huge foxglove behind the garage is covered in brown seed pods and the echinacea are in full bloom. Considering that the garden has had no attention for a full month it has survived remarkably well.

Another long trek finished, our thoughts can now wander to the next trip that’s planned for September!
