From Garen camping we drove on . . . somewhat disillusioned by our time in Norway, where to stay being uppermost in our minds. First we visited Tynnhylen Lake, a birdwatching area on the Hardangervidda Plateau – no birds around when we visited although it was later morning which is not the best time. The car park was already full but we managed to squeeze onto a space. One of the problems is that cars were parked in the space reserved for motorhomes, it’s not just birdwatchers who ignore the signs, we find that in many places the cars totally ignore the signs saying ‘motorhomes only’. Strict enforcement is needed.
