Dancamps to Tranum Klit Camping

Dancamps to Tranum Klit Camping

Another day of driving through Denmark, but with the prospect of meeting up with fellow square dancers who are attending an event in the extreme north of Denmark at Tranum Strand. Overnight at Tranum Klit Camping, this campsite has the dubious distinction of being the most expensive campsite that we have stayed at in all our ten years wandering about Europe. France, Germany, Czechia, Italy, The Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland we have spent time in all of them, in France we paid €44 a night, but that included access to a massive waterpark. Here in Denmark we paid €51.50 simply for an overnight pitch with access to the showers and toilets.

The pitches at Tranum Klit Camping are separated by mature trees. I found the half-glazed doors on the toilets disconcerting, even though the glass was patterned, it just felt ‘uncomfortable’!
