France and Spain September 2025

This motorhome trek began in Lancaster, UK. We drove towards the Channel Tunnel, now know as Le Shuttle with an overnight stay in a truck stop lay-by on the A1, tunnel to Calais then drove through France to Spain. On this motorhome journey through France we used the Paeage — toll roads, not cheap, but good motorway standard roads with very light traffic so we were able to travel quickly and with less strain on us as drivers. We stayed in the north of Spain then returned to the UK using the ferry from Santander to Plymouth. One overnight stay in the UK on the way home.

23 nights in our Hymer B544 motorhome, 2222 miles over 25 days. For more details about each day, fuel consumption, costs of toll roads (Paeage) in France and Spain, reviews of the places we stayed and visited click the links in the table to go to the pages for each day.
