Motorhome Journey Ansbach to Cham

We have breakfast and service our motorhome on the well-used service area at Nagal Stellplatz. Calling at Total Energies at the smalltown of Bergoberbach we fill with diesel. Another straight run on A6 past Schwarbach, Winkelhaid, Ursensollen to Swandork. Here we turn south on A85 through Mitterdorf to Cham (pronounced Karm), our final destination for this part of our journey (and only 104 miles today).

We find the canoe club quite easily and park on the large car park above the small Stellplatz (for 10 places), Mr C. goes to check it out. It is busy and there is one space free so he drives straight into and we stop! We have arrived. It is about 1.30pm, so we have lunch and walk around to get our bearings.

Good emptying facilities and water at 1c/Litre! Very clean toilets (3) and showers (2) in each of the ladies and gents. We get the chairs out and have a well-earned rest sitting in the sun overlooking the river. Later we open a bottle of Crémant and drink it with salmon rillette and French baguette. Later, much later we have a salad with the French Jammon and a lazy evening. Two more motorhomes arrive and squashed onto the end of our row, making 11 of us overnight.
