Eze and Nice a coach outing

Today we have an organised coach tour to the medieval hill town of Èze, and then Nice. The coach parked at a ‘perfume factory’ where we were given a tour. Laughable is how I would describe it. I started my career as a Chemical Engineer, so I can comment on what I saw with authority. This was not a working factory, it was a few pieces of old equipment that had been arranged for gullible tourists to view. The pipes simply ended , no attempt to make this look real. The talk was a sales presentation which the audience knew and took no notice, nobody bought anything. We wandered up the hill to Èze which was full of narrow streets with interesting houses, but again simply aimed at taking money from tourists.

Next stop Nice, where we had less than an hour stay. A complete waste of time, all I can say is think of Blackpool on the mediterranean coast and you have it right. Nice is a tourist trap, plain and simple, nothing more needs to be said about it.

In the evening we performed on the stage, we all got very cold because we were in Regency costumes. Not a good day.
