Motorhome trips 2017
2017 saw us making two major trips in our Hymer motor home; the first was to indulge our passion for English Folk Dancing, when we attended an international folk dance gathering in the south of Finland. We decided to drive to Finland via The Netherlands, Germany then Sweden taking three ferries along the route. Our return journey was by way of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany and France. A mammoth motorhome tour that incorporated folk dance, folk music birdwatching and wine tasting in different locations.
Our Spanish trip had a twofold purpose, to meet and share a holiday with friends from Edmonton in Canada where we used to live, and to explore the Roman and Moorish sites in Spain. A wonderful trip in the Hymer with overnight stops in many different locations. We spent 5 nights in a holiday house that was carefully selected to ensure that there was enough space outside to park our Hymer. Google maps proved extremely useful in viewing satellite images of the proposed holiday house so that we could see whether or not we would be able to park the motorhome outside.
